Benny Blanko's very first official debut as a DJ was in 2006 at Aura in Studio City, CA. It was a great success that led him to plan and organize an event at the world famous Avalon in Hollywood where the top DJ’s, performers, and artists from around the world have performed. Blanko has a tendency to do everything bigger and better. As he states: "If I decide to do something, I’d rather do it all the way as far as how I envision it. I believe that the bigger you dream the bigger it gets. So far no complaints!!" He was not only the DJ of the night; he was in charge of this show because it was solely his. Blanko designed the flyers, set, props, hired actors, acrobats, lighting, etc. Although it was very challenging and stressful, he had a blast preparing and performing because music is one of his many passions. Blanko has a network of friends who are DJ’s by career and have invited him to spin at their own events because they believe that the music he spins is fresh and something that is unexpected. Blanko also agrees by adding: "I believe I stand out from other DJ’s in that I spin music that I produce myself and that I am not afraid to try new things. This catches people’s attention because I always bring something new to the table. I have heard from people that I am not just a DJ, I don’t just stand there and press play.
